Plant the Flag · SightDesk and Command GoBag™

Plant the flag.
Press the Anchor.
Your plan runs on every map.

Command, staging, triage, first aid and reunification, built in your tabletop and live in the field. One press tells SightDesk where the flag is standing, and every arriving responder knows where to go before they get out of the car.

Every responder seat is free, forever. Sheriff, police, fire, volunteer fire, EMS and dispatch.

1Pull the numbered flag and plant it.
Three rules that never change

Assign the place, not the person.

Shifts change. People leave. The plan holds, because it never depended on a name.

1

Assign the place, not the person.

Locations and rules are set ahead of time. Whoever arrives first takes the action, so the plan survives shift changes and turnover.

2

Whoever holds the flag can move it.

Whoever holds the flag and the Anchor can re-anchor. Move the flag, press the Anchor, and every point moves with it.

3

Every responder seat is free.

Sheriff, police, fire, volunteer fire, EMS and dispatch. Free, forever. The people you count on are already on it.

On the ground and on every screen

The flag you can see. The map everyone can see.

Command GoBag™ makes the command post, staging, triage and reunification visible on the ground with high-visibility flags responders already trust. The Nexus makes them visible on every screen, at the exact spot each flag is standing.

The Command GoBag flag set: Command, Staging, Reunify, Rehab, First Aid, Decon, Triage, Transport, Media and PIO, and Check-in, shown beside people for scale
The Command GoBag™ flag set. Seventeen feet tall, numbered, and seen over vehicles and crowds.

Nobody radios coordinates. Nobody sets up a whiteboard. Nobody asks where the parents are supposed to go.

What is in the bag
Flags
Seventeen-foot flags, each with its number, so whoever pulls them from the bag knows which one goes where.
Anchor
One press tells SightDesk where the flag is standing. It is the spot every other point is measured from.
SightDesk
Where the plan is built, drilled and run. The flag, the points, the rings and the rules on one map.
MyFlare
The free app on every responder phone. One instruction, one map, one route, one button.
From the tabletop to the field

Plan it. Agree it. Drill it. Then plant it.

Nothing is real until the agencies and the school agree on it around a table. After that, the field runs the plan you already signed.

1PLAN

Plant the flag on the map.

Place Command, Triage, Staging and Reunification around it. Give each point its flag number, its rule, and the one-line instruction an arriving unit sees.

2AGREE

Tabletop with everyone.

The agencies and the school run the plan on the map with simulated units. No phones wake. They sign off and the version locks.

3DRILL

Field drill with real phones.

Real positions, real routes, real acknowledgements. Move the flag, close a road, fill a point. Close the after-action items and go Operational.

4PLANT

Pull the flag. Press the Anchor.

Command goes first. Plant it where it can be seen over vehicles and crowds, stand at it, and press. The point goes live at its true location on every map.

5ACKNOWLEDGE

One instruction. One button.

Each responder reads the one instruction on the screen, presses Acknowledge, and does it.

6MOVE

Command has to move?

Move the flag and press the Anchor. Every point and every unit follows.

Rings and time rules

Units go where they are useful, without a word on the radio.

Rings decide what a unit does by how close it is to the flag. Time rules decide where it goes by how long it will take to get there.

Scene

Only units the plan assigns to the scene go in.

Blocking

The first unit to cross it on each approach road gets "Stop and hold this road." That road is filled, and the next unit is routed on. SightDesk finds the crossings; you check them.

Perimeter

Units entering it get their assignment refreshed and a route to their point.

Under the thresholdThe unit follows the plan: to the scene, a blocking point, or a point in the circle.
Over the thresholdThe unit is never sent to the scene. It goes to Triage, Staging or Reunification by discipline and by which point still has room.
Point fullThe next unit goes to the next destination in the order you set. The threshold is 60 minutes unless you change it.
NEW ASSIGNMENT
Stop and hold Elm Street at 5th.
ACKNOWLEDGE
What the responder sees

One instruction. One map. One route. One button.

The app sleeps until a drill or an event in the responder's area. Then it wakes with exactly one thing to do.

If the plan changes, a new instruction arrives with an alert tone, marked RE-ANCHORED or NEW ASSIGNMENT. Acknowledge it again.

There is no sign-in. Location is shared only while the app is awake, and only until the drill or event closes.

Every responder is registered to the agency they serve. An install not registered to an agency in the plan gets no assignment.

A Flare from a room can also set the flag. The room's location becomes the event location.

When command has to move

Move the flag. The whole plan moves with it.

A command post that cannot move is a command post that gets abandoned. Here it moves with the commander.

Press the Anchor

Move the flag and press the Anchor. Whoever holds the flag and the Anchor can do this.

The plan follows

Relative points shift with the flag. Fixed points, like reunification, stay put. The rings redraw and blocking points move to the new road crossings.

Every unit is told

Every awake unit gets a RE-ANCHORED assignment with a new route, and acknowledges it.

Command checks the map

If a point lands somewhere unusable, such as water or a highway, drag it by hand in SightDesk.

Every re-anchor is logged: old and new position, who pressed, when, and how many units acknowledged.

Who does what

Three jobs. One plan.

Trainer

Builds and drills the plan.

Builds the plan in SightDesk, runs the tabletop and field drills, invites responders through their own agencies, and owns the after-action items.

School team

Owns the site.

Sets up the school's zones in SightDesk, supplies the campus layout, chooses the reunification site and who runs it, and signs off in the tabletop.

Responders

Plant, press, acknowledge.

Carry the free MyFlare Alert app, plant the flag and press the Anchor on scene, and acknowledge their assignment.

A plan you can prove

Six statuses from draft to ready.

After every drill, the report goes to your agency: the timeline, every assignment and acknowledgement, time to fill each point and blocking road, and any unit that went somewhere the plan did not send it.

Planned

Flag, points, rings and rules drafted.

Agreed

Agencies and school sign off. Version locked.

Configured

Every agency has registered responders.

Exercised

Run at least once in drill mode.

After-action

Items open, plan revised.

Operational

Ready for a live Flare at this site.

Command visibility shouldn't depend on arrival time. Most agencies identify this gap after an incident exposes it. Fix it before that happens.

A Nexus partner

Command GoBag™ is live on the network.

Their kits align to ICS and the Standard Reunification Method schools already drill. The Nexus does not replace what responders trust. It makes it visible to everyone who is not standing next to the flag, with INTRUSION cybersecurity inside.
